Freshman Seminar

Beginning with the Class of 2022, all LVUSD Graduates must complete a ten credit course in Freshman Seminar. While the course is best experienced over the academic calendar year, we understand that there are circumstances where it is in the best interest of the student to complete the course over the summer. Note that we will only approve Freshman Seminar for students who can't fit the course into their six-period Freshman schedule. Space is limited in our free summer offering, and if interest exceeds space available, we will use a lottery system for the class. All students enrolled in the class will be taught by an LVUSD instructor for half of the course, and a Moorpark College instructor for the second half. Thus, all students taking the course over the summer will need to enroll as Moorpark College students (at no cost) to participate in the program. The course is free to all who are accepted. Please click below to apply, and we will follow-up with you no later than March of 2019 to let you know if you have a seat in the Summer Freshman Seminar offering.

Applications are Due January 25th!
